  1. How to connect MelodiStik 4-in-1 to the PC?
    MelodiStik 4-in-1 connects to the PC through the USB Cable. Please plug the Mini USB port of the USB Cable into MelodiStik and the standard USB Port into the PC.

  2. How do I power ON or OFF?
    Hold "Play/Pause" button for few seconds and then release it, this will "Power ON". If in ON mode, pressing the "Play/Pause" button will "Power OFF" the unit.

  3. How do I play the music?
    Press "Play/Pause" button when unit is ON. This will play the music.

  4. How do I pause the music?
    Press "Play/Pause" button when the music is playing to pause the music.

  5. How do I go forward when playing the music?
    Move "Compound Button" to Next "->" to forward the music.

  6. How do I go backward when playing the music?
    Move "Compound Button" to Previous "<-" to rewind the music.

  7. How do I stop the music?
    Press "Play/Pause" button when the music is playing to stop the music.

  8. How do I delete the music?
    Press "Play/Pause" button when the music is playing to stop the music. Press the "Compound Button" and release till you see the "Delete?" option. Select the song and "Play/Pause" button to delete the music.

  9. How do I delete the all the music?
    Press "Play/Pause" button when the music is playing to stop the music.
    Press the "Compound Button" and release till you see the "Delete?" option.
    Press the "Compound Button" again, this will show "All music files" on the screen.
    Press the "Play/Pause" to delete all music files.

  10. What is A-B function?
    A-B function allows you to listen to a specific exert of a song or voice recording over and over again.
    To set the function follow the steps as below:
    1. Press the "MODE" button until the A-B option is visible on the LCD.
    2. With "A" blinking listen to the part of recording you want to select.
    3. When you reach exert you want to repeat press the Mode button to forward position to set the repeat option.

  11. What is A-V function?
    A-V function allows you to listen to a specific exert of a song or voice recording over and over again.
    To set the function follow the steps as below:
    1. Press the "MODE" button until the A-V option is visible on the LCD.
    2. With "A" blinking listen to the part of recording you want to select.
    3. The MP3 Player automatically sets the end point.

  12. What is the difference between "NOR" and "ALL"?
    "NOR"option plays the music one by one, the player shuts down after the last song or record.
    "ALL" option repeats the songs or records from start after the end of all songs or records.

  13. What is "INT"?
    "INT" mode allows previewing each song or recording for first 3-5 seconds.

  14. What are the maximum level of sub-directories supported?
    MelodiStik 4-in-1 supports 9 levels of sub-directories and each sub-directory can have up to maximum of 99 files.

  15. How can I play song from the next directory?
    Press "+" part of the Volume +/- button during stop. Complete the cycle by pressing the Mode button, to change the screen from Records - Voice - System. Pressing the "+" button will take to the next directory.

  16. How can I play song from the next/previous directory?
    Steps to select songs to be played from a next/previous directory.
    1) Turn on the MelodiStik 4-in-1.
    2) Select folder by pressing "-" or "+" part of the "Volume Button" during stop.
    3) An icon at the right bottom of the screen will show the changes.
    4) Press "Play/Pause" button to play files from the selected folder.
    5) Player will stop if all files of folder has been played.
    6) Repeat to go to next folder. (You should complete the cycle by pressing the Mode Button to change the screen from Record - Voice - System).
    7) Pressing "-" button will take to the previous directory, and pressing "+" will take to the next directory.

  17. How to change the sound mode?
    When "Sound Mode Indication" on the LCD flashes, you can push "Compound Button" to "Next" or "Previous" to set the sound mode as NATU, ROCK, POP, CLAS, SOFT, JAZZ or DBB.

  18. How to change the channel in FM radio?
    Pushing the channel button, the FM receiver will search new channel automatically.

  19. Which battery is required for FM radio?
    The FM radio uses Lithium Cell CR2032.

  20. Can I connect MelodiStik 4-in-1 to a USB 2.0 Port?
    MelodiStik 4-in-1 is compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 port.

  21. Can I play my recorded .act extension files from my computer?
    Files with .act extension are "Action Presentation" files. To play the .act extension files follow the steps as below.

    Step 1: Run the setup.exe, from the downloaded program, also available on the CD.

    Step 2: Sound Converter short cut icon will be created on your desktop, also can be opened from Start - Programs - MP3 Player Utility - Sound Converter.

  23. How many songs can my MelodiStik 4-in-1 store?
    The MelodiStik 4-in-1 with 128MB capacity can store up to 32 songs. (Based on an average of 4MB per song).

  24. What is the voice recording time on the MelodiStik 4-in-1?
    The voice recording time is about 8 hours on 128MB MelodiStik 4-in-1.

  25. Can the volume be adjusted on the FM radio ?
    Yes, the volume can be adjusted to high and low for the FM radio.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

  1. It takes long time to delete songs.
    If you are using the funtion "All music files" to delete all files, it may take longer time based on number of music files deleted.

  2. The song stops playing after an interval.
    Make sure the setting is set to "NOR". Setting to "INT" will stop the playing of song after a specified internal. Setting to "ALL" will keep playing the songs from start after the last song has been played.

  3. The sound quality is not clear.
    Make sure the pin is properly inserted in the jack. Inserting partly may result in unclear sound quality.

  4. I copied few files to the MelodiStik and get the error message, "The disk is full" or "Not enough disk space".
    Check the properties for the MelodiStik in your "My Computer" for the used and free space. Some songs or files may be big enough and may take large amount of disk space.

  5. The unit will no longer power ON, what can I do?
    The battery may be loose in the compartment, please adjust the spring to make sure that the battery is secure. Also make sure that the hold switch is OFF prior to powering ON the unit.
