  1. Is my Melodistik Lite compatible with Mac?
    Melodstik Lite is compatible with Mac OS9 but can be used with Mac OSX if you use the Applescript droplet available at www.versiontracker.com. The "CleanUp smb mess" is an applescript droplet that will clean up Windows shares mounted thru the Mac OS X samba client by removing all "._" files on all the volumes and folders dragged on it.

  2. How do I recharge my rechargeable battery?
    Insert the battery in to the MelodiStik and connect it to the USB Port. Move the On/Off switch to the On position, and let it be charged for 4/5 hours. The LED light should indicate a red color when the battery is getting charged.

  3. How do I read the LED indicator?
    While in MP3 Player Mode:
    - Power On: Green LED
    - Playing: Green LED blinking
    - Battery Low: Green LED blinking fast


    While in USBDrive Mode:
    - Connected with PC: Green LED on
    - Accessing Files: Green LED blinking


    While Charging Battery:
    - Red LED On (if using rechargeable battery)

  4. How do I use the Control Switch?
    Using control switch:
    - Press the control switch button once to play the MP3s.
    - Press the control switch again to forward the MP3s.
    - Slide the control switch to left (-)sign to lower the volume.
    - Slide the control switch to right (+)sign to increase the volume.

  5. How can I format my MelodiStik Lite?
    From the list of drives available in your "My Computer" select the drive letter assigned by your "My Computer" for MelodiStik Lite, right click and select the option format using the "FAT" file system. Formatting should be done using Windows XP Operating System only.
    Note: Formatting the drive will erase the contents of the drive.

  6. Can I play WMA file from MelodiStik Lite?
    You can play only MP3s using MelodiStik Lite. WMA files are not supported.

  7. How many songs can my MelodiStik Lite store?
    The MelodiStik Lite with 128MB capacity can store up to 32 songs. (Based on an average of 4MB per song).
 
TROUBLE SHOOTING

  1. My Melodistik Lite unit will not playback music.
    Please make sure the music downloaded to the Melodstik Lite are in MP3 format and not WMA format also check if you are able to play them with Windows Media Player. Make sure you have fully charged battery while operating also the headphones are fully inserted. Switch the ON/OFF switch to the ON position and press the toggle switch down to start playing the music, adjust the volume as needed. If you are using Mac OSX, you will need to download the Applescript droplet available at www.versiontracker.com

  2. I get the message the disk is write protected, when trying to format the drive.
    Make sure the On/Off switch is positioned to Off position while formatting the drive (MelodiStik Lite).

  3. I get the message the disk is write protected, when trying to copy mp3.
    Make sure the On/Off switch is positioned to Off position while copying the files to the MelodiStik Lite.

  4. I get the message the disk is write protected, when trying to delete a file.
    Make sure the On/Off switch is positioned to Off position while deleting the files from the MelodiStik Lite.
