Can I connect more than two computers through CROSSBOX?
CROSSBOX supports only connecting between two computers.

Can I use CROSSBOX as an extension cable?
CROSSBOX is used for transferring data between two computers and is not an extension cable.

What is the difference between the CROSSBOX and a retractable USB cord (USB Extension Cable)?
USB extension cables only connect a USB host with a USB device. Once connected to each PC, CROSSBOX automatically displays both hard drives on the screen enabling the user to quickly locate and copy files to and from each system. Operating at USB 2.0 speeds, CROSSBOX moves files faster than standard flash memory-based storage media. Onboard the CROSSBOX, there is actually 2MB of flash memory with the data transfer application embedded, so there is no software or driver to install - plug-n-play.

In addition, the CROSSBOX takes care of power management between the two USB hosts. A USB host provides power to the the USB device plugged into it. This is different from the way a RJ-45 network cable or RJ-11 Modem/phone cable works, where power is provided by the network . Without power management, connecting two USB hosts to each other could cause electrical damage.

When connected I get the message “A HI-SPEED USB Device is plugged into a non-HI-SPEED USB hub."
CROSSBOX is a high speed device. If this device is connected to the computer which supports only USB 1.1, you will get the above message. You may ignore this warning and continue using the device.

Can I use CROSSBOX with Mac and Linux?
CROSSBOX currently only supports Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, & XP.
